Former President Yadav speaks out in support of Chure conservation

Kathmandu, June 12

According to former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, Chure hill is being exploited as a result of the postal highway’s delayed completion.

Dr. Yadav, who received the honor from the Pitaji Krishna Prasad Koirala Memorial Foundation on Saturday, said that Tarai, the country’s breadbasket, is in trouble due to overexploitation of Chure. He argued that by conserving Chure hill, both the Mahabharat range and the Tarai will be conserved.

On the occasion, the former president also praised Pitaji Krishna Prasad Koirala stating that he was a social reformer and the new generation should study his contributions.

Pitaji Krishna Prasad Koirala, according to Dr. Yadav, was a dedicated social figure and a lover of education who believed that society could be changed through a democratic system.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress central committee member Dr. Shekhar Koirala handed over the honor to former President Dr. Yadav. He stated that society cannot benefit from individuals involved in politics for a short-lived benefit.

Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Nagesh Koirala recalled that Pitaji Krishna Prasad Koirala was the one who initiated the township in Biratnagar and his contributions to the social change, development, and democracy in the country are immense.
