Let’s dismiss Janak Education Materials Center: MP Lama

Kathmandu, June 9

Nabina Lama, a member of the CPN-UML, has called for the closing of the Janak Education
Materials Center. Lama asked that Janak Shiksha reject the textbooks since they could not be supplied on time and take over the responsibility of publishing the textbooks to a private
business during the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday at zero hours.

She said that due to Janak Education Materials Center’s extreme negligence, students were usually low on textbooks. ”Especially now that there is a shortage of 6th and 8th graders,” she explained. Students have never gotten books on time in the name of conserving Janak Shiksha.

Why do they need Janak Shiksha if they can’t print and distribute? Why does the government continue to provide funds? ”Let’s get it out of here,” she said.
