Kathmandu, June 9
Floods following incessant rains have damaged temporary structures on the Melamchi River.
The temporary Hume pipe bridge and a culvert in Melamchi Municipality-11 were damaged by last night’s rain.
As soon as the temporary bridge was damaged, the route was closed.
Damage to the temporary culvert connecting Melamchi Municipality Wards 7 and 11 has
caused transportation disruptions.
The damaged bridge will be repaired and operated for the time being, according to Melamchi Municipality Chief Aitman Tamang.
