Kathmandu, June 6
From June 15, the Election Commission (EC) will allow eligible Nepali people to register to vote.
The commission is preparing to open registration for the House of Representatives and
Provincial Assemblies elections.
After the date of the local-level election was declared, the EC stopped voter registration.
“On the issue of opening the registration from June 15, there have been discussions. The EC is preparing to open registration so that voters’ names can be registered from the district in which they reside, even if they living outside the district,” the EC said.
