Kathmandu, June 5
Balendra Shah, the Mayor of Kathmandu, met with Rajendra Pandey, the Chief Minister of
Bagmati Province.
According to CM Pandey’s Chief Personal Secretary Umesh Rupakheti, the two people’s
representatives discussed issues such as garbage management, good governance, service
delivery, and heritage conservation in the metropolis during a meeting held at the Chief
Minister’s residence in Swayambhu this morning.
Similarly, in the coming days, the meeting discussed the issue of result-oriented cooperation between the Bagmati Province government and the metropolis.
Shah, who was elected mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City in a local election on May 13, has been meeting with top leaders of various political parties, as well as heads of national and subnational governments, to seek help in managing the Valley’s waste and other issues.
