The local’s of Mustang received about 94 crore grants

Kathmandu, June 5

The federal government has given the locals of Mustang district a grant of Rs. 940 million for the coming fiscal year 2079/80.

Five village municipalities in Mustang have received 937.7 million funds, according to the
government’s budget statement for the coming fiscal year, which was released last week. The current budget is around Rs 793 million, while the capital budget is worth Rs 147.4 million.

Gharapjhong Municipality has a budget of Rs. 215.3 million, Thasang Municipality has a budget of Rs. 216.9 million, and Waragung Mukti Chetra Municipality has a budget of Rs. 171.4 million.

Similarly, the municipalities of Loghekar-Damodarkund and Lomanthang each received Rs.
169.3 million and Rs. 164.8 million, respectively.

Thasang was the receiver of the most funds, while Lomanthang received the least. Local
governments create the budget for the following fiscal year by factoring in federal and state
grants, internal revenue, and money left over from the previous fiscal year. Mustang’s local government has begun the process of choosing strategies for the future years in Toll and wards.
