700 people were evacuated after an explosion at a chemical plant in Gujarat

Kathmandu, June 3

On Thursday night, a fire broke out at a chemical business in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

Seven people have been sent to the hospital after a fire at the Deepak Nitrite facility, according to the BBC. They suffer respiratory issues as a result of the smoke.

Authorities reported 700 people were evacuated and taken to safety near the plant. To put out the fire, several firefighters raced to the area. From a distance, black smoke from a massive explosion.

According to the BBC, which reported a local official, efforts are underway to put out the fire, and no injuries have been recorded so far.
