The government has made digital payments a main priority: Communication Minister Karki

Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has stated that the government places a high priority on digital payment. The government, he said, has been supporting digital payments.

He underlined the government’s commitment to study the findings of the program as a document and use them in policymaking while speaking at the second session of Brandworth Pvt’s ”Phone Pay Digital Economy Conclave 2022.” He said that this initiative will contribute to the development of the Digital Nepal Framework.

He stated that the progress of the country is impossible without the development of
information technology, and that information technology should be used to bring all sectors of society together. Minister Karki stated that the government has also decreased internet rates to enable access to information technology for all residents, stating that this would help provide access to information technology even in distant places. He stated that the
administration is working to improve the cost and quality of internet access.
