The budget does not control inflation and economic crisis: Rajendra Lingden

Kathmandu, June 1

According to RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, there is no policy in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget to control inflation and resolve the country’s economic situation. He stated the budget was not in a way to control inflation and ease the country’s economic problems during a general debate on the annual projections of income and spending for the fiscal year 2079/80 in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday.

He stated there was a program for wearing Hetauda industry in the budget, but he remained silent about operating the industry, claiming that the source of the funding linked with the upcoming election at the center could not be disclosed.

He said that the budget has no mention of corruption control or good governance and that
there is no program to prevent young people from migrating to other countries or to protect them from drug addiction. He stated that the budget could not be executed and that a new administration will be formed at the time of implementation.
