After the budget, the stock market fell for the second day in a row

Kathmandu, May 31

After the administration presented the budget for the approaching fiscal year 2079/80, the
stock market fell for the second day in a row. The market closed at 2137.92 points, down 35.53 points from Tuesday’s close.

The market was down more than 50 points even on Monday. On Tuesday, all categories except mutual funds saw their share values fall. Non-life insurance investors have suffered the largest losses.

On Tuesday, a total of 37,69,812 shares of 229 firms were exchanged in 27,519 transactions. On this day, a total of Rs 1.31 billion was exchanged.

On Tuesday, Upkaar MFI’s stock climbed the most, at 8.23 percent, to Rs 1,475.80. NMC 50, Smuggling Power, and NIC Growth Fund have all seen their stock prices climb.

Nepal Investment Bank’s stock has declined the highest, down 9.98 percent. NLG Insurance has dropped 6.50 percent in value. On Tuesday, the most money was exchanged at NIC Asia Bank.
