The passport office will also be open on Sunday, which is a national holiday.
The agency made the decision on Wednesday in accordance with the Government of Nepal’s strategy and program to make electronic passports widely available.
Because the department’s workload is expanding considerably, it will give passports to service recipients quickly and easily, including on public holidays. The department has announced that it would be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday beginning May 29 until further notice.
The department will provide passport-related services to service recipients who apply for a
passport and reserve a certain date and time.
