Kathmandu, May 25
The CPN-Maoist Center candidates have won the post of mayor and deputy mayor of Rajanpur municipality in Bardiya district.
Maoist Center candidate Dipesh Tharu has been elected as mayor with 9,807 votes while his nearest rival Dipak Jung Shah of Nepali Congress got 9,760 votes.
Similarly, Maoist Center candidate Mankala Kumari Chaudhary has been elected as deputy
mayor with 10,083 votes. Her nearest rival Yasoda Tharu of Congress got 10,045 votes.
