Kathmandu, May
Empty cylinders were placed in front of the Chief Minister's Office of State-1 in protest of the gasoline price rise.
Cooking gas prices have gone up by Rs 200 each cylinder, while petroleum goods have gone up by Rs 10 per liter. They demonstrated against the price rise in front of the Chief Minister's Office in Biratnagar on Tuesday.
The protest was conducted when the general public was troubled by the advantageous price rise, according to Uttam Dhungel, head of the consumer association Public Forum.
He said that the state government had no choice but to keep silent as the federal government raised prices.
Locals have also urged an immediate reversal of the price rise during the protest.
