Oath of 6 Palika chiefs in Rupandehi

Kathmandu, May 23

Rupendehi’s newly elected people’s representatives have taken the oath of office. The chiefs and chairpersons of the municipalities took their oaths at Bhairahawa on Monday.

Chief Election Officer Dhan Singh Mahara administered the oath of office to the newly elected chiefs/ chairpersons of Butwal Sub-metropolitan Municipality, Sainamaina Municipality, Lumbini Cultural Municipality, Marchwari Municipality, Sammarimai Municipality, and Gaindhawa Municipality at a function held at Balmandir in Bhairahawa.

Butwal sub-metropolitan chief Khel Raj Pandey, Sainamaina mayor Phanindra Sharma, Lumbini cultural municipality chief Sajaruddin Khan, Marchwari village chairman Gaya Prasad Barai, Sammarimai village chief Binod Kumar Srivastava, and Gaidhawa village chief Surendra Poudel were among those who received the oath of office from Mahara. He advised people to put their electoral excitement to good use. Similarly, Rishi Ram Tiwari, the Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, asked the people’s representatives to work with the people at the center since the people are the most important.
