UML candidates leading in Tulsipur

Tulsipur, May 22

UML candidates for the post of mayor and deputy mayor have maintained the lead in Tulsipur sub-metropolis of the Dang district.

Tikaram Khadka of UML got 15,405 while counting 35,175 votes. Congress candidate Gehendra Giri from the ruling coalition has received 14,594 votes.

Similarly, UML candidate Shani Chaudhary got 14,615 votes for the post of deputy mayor. Her nearest rival Jog Bahadur Rana of CPN (Maoist) received 10,892 votes. Chaudhary is ahead of Rana by 3,723 votes.

In the sub-metropolitan city, 74,336 votes have been cast out of 101,460 voters. Earlier, UML had won the mayor and deputy mayor of Tulsipur.
