Kathmandu, May 21
CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the electoral alliance has
become successful in local-bodies elections.
“We have embarked on a new journey for political change and stability in the country by
forging alliance,” he said, adding that the alliance emerged successfully to realize the shared objective in Madhyapur Thimi.
Chairman Dahal further said that a strong determination has been set for taking ahead of the alliance in the upcoming provincial and federal elections as well as in the journey of the
country’s development and prosperity.
Congratulating the elected candidates of the five-party alliance in Madhyapur Thimi
Municipality in his residence in Khumaltar on Saturday, he assured of giving continuity to the alliance and taking it ahead in a more effective manner. He mentioned that it is the time to transform victory into the development, prosperity, and welfare of people.
Chairman Dahal also wished the newly-elected people’s representatives for their successful
tenure. Stating that Madhyapurthimi is a historical municipality of Bhaktapur, he asserted that the pro-people decisions and actions have direct bearing on the lives of the residents of the municipality.
It may be noted that Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Surendra Shrestha on behalf of the
electoral alliance had won the mayoral post of Bhaktapur with 15,098 votes.
