Congress candidates win in Bhanu Municipality

Kathmandu, May 20

Nepali Congress has won the mayor and deputy mayor of Bhanu municipality of Tanahu district.

Anandaraj Tripathi has won the post of mayor and Uma Gotame has won the post of deputy
mayor. Tripathi won with 12,252 votes while his rival Sitaram Bajagain of the CPN (UML) got 9,043 votes.

Similarly, Gotame has been elected as deputy mayor with 10,547 votes while the rival
independent candidate Keshar Bahadur Gurung has got 5,817 votes.
