Kathmandu, May 18
Tilak Ram Lamsal of Nepali Congress has been elected as the mayor while Bina Kumari Bhattarai of UML has been elected as the deputy mayor of Thakur Baba Municipality in Bardiya.
Mayor Lamsal won with 9,042 votes.
Bina Kumari Bhattarai got 8,176 votes for the post of deputy mayor while her rival Manju
Kumari Chaudhary got only 7,674 votes.
