The federal parliament’s annual session will begin on Tuesday. The meeting scheduled at 4 p.m. might have five different agendas.

Speaker Agni Sapkota is set to read the President’s letter on the convention’s assembling and the establishment of the Council of Ministers.

According to sub-rule 1 of rule 10 of the House of Representatives Rules 2075, Speaker Sapkota has a timetable to nominate the presiding members and propose two ordinances.

Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala will present Ordinance 2078, which would change various legislation relating to criminal crimes and the criminal process, according to the timetable.

The law minister has set a date for introducing Ordinance 2078, which would revise several
statutes against sexual violence.

Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma will give a proposal today to examine the principles and priorities of the Fiscal Year 2079/80 Appropriation Bill (excluding the tax proposal).

The convention’s principal goal is to pass the budget. As a result, the annual meeting is often known as the budget meeting.

On Tuesday, the Federal Parliament Secretariat will examine the budget’s principles and priorities (excluding tax proposals), tomorrow will have a pre-budget discussion, Thursday will address questions from the finance minister, and on May 21 will propose plans and programs.

The budget for the next fiscal year must be presented to the federal parliament by May 29th, according to the constitution.
