Congress candidate elected mayor of Kirtipur Municipality

Kathmandu, May 17

Nepali Congress candidate Raj Kumar Nakarki has been elected Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality with 9,043 votes.

According to Thakur Bhattarai, Chief Returning Officer in Kathmandu, his nearest rival
Keshratna Bajracharya of CPN-UML got 5,507 votes.

Similarly, Janata Samajbadi Party candidate Shuva Laxmi Shakya has been elected Deputy Mayor with 8,665 votes. Her nearest rival from Bindu Maharjan of CPN-UML received 7,206 votes.
