Nemkipa won in Bhaktapur

Kathmandu, May 16

Sunil Prajapati of the Nepal Majdur Kisan Party (Nemkipa) has been elected mayor of
Bhaktapur, while Rajni Joshi has been chosen, deputy mayor.

Prajapati received 29,200 votes for mayor, while Joshi received 29,695 votes for deputy mayor.

Ram Prasad Kasula of the Nepali Congress received 3,199 votes, while Rabindra Lachimasyu of the CPN-UML received 2,667.

CPN-Ranjana UML’s Kharbuja received 2,724 votes, while CPN-Om U’s Charan Amatya received 1,742 votes.

The Nepal Workers and Peasants Party had also won in Bhaktapur in the election of 2074.
