Kathmandu, May 16
Tham Bahadur Rai of CPN-Maoist has been elected as the chairman of Ram Prasad Rai village municipality of Bhojpur.
Tham Bahadur Rai of the CPN (Maoist Center) defeated Balram Rai of the CPN (UML) by getting 3077 votes. Balram Rai of UML lost with 2851 votes.
Similarly, Birendra Rai of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson with 3577 votes. UML candidate Kamal Devi Rai has lost with 2214 votes.
