With the opening of Gautam Buddha International Airport, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the country has entered a new era in aviation. He said the Gautam Buddha
International Airport, which opened on Monday, will contribute significantly to tourism,
economic growth, and job creation in the Lumbini region.
The airport, according to Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, was created with the support of
Lumbini locals and businessmen. Prem Ale, the Minister of Civil Aviation and Culture, stated
that the airport’s functioning will boost the country’s growth. With the addition of international airports, he clarified, the aviation business will be operating.
