Kathmandu, May 15
The chairman and vice-chairman of the Tasang village municipality in Mustang, respectively, are Pradip Gauchan of the UML and Somal Hirachan of the Nepali Congress. The counting of votes in all five (all) villages in the district was completed as soon as Thasang’s votes were counted.
Pradip Gauchan, a candidate for president, received 1,144 votes, whereas Bal Kumari Sherchan of the Nepali Congress received just 1,055 votes. Somal Hirachan of the Congress won the poll with 1212 votes.
Sumita Sherpa of UML received 1,080 votes in the election.
UML also won in Lomanthang, Lo-Ghekar Damodarkund, Waragung Free Zone, and Thasang village, in addition to Thasang. In Gharpajhong, the Congress has won.
