Prachanda to cast his vote from Chitwan Police School Santipur

Kathmandu, May 12

Local elections will take place tomorrow, Friday. The Election Commission has already sent
officials to all voting sites, as well as security officers. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ the Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister, has arrived in Chitwan to vote.

Prachanda arrived in Chitwan two days before the election. During the interval of silence, he appears to be active in influencing voters. On Wednesday, a vehicle carrying government and private cars was discovered at Prachanda’s apartment when he was visiting his daughter Renu Dahal.

Prachanda is heading to Madi today during silent time. He is voting for Renu Dahal, the
Bharatpur Municipal Corporation mayoral candidate from Bharatpur-14 Police School
Sivanagar.

The five-party alliance’s candidate for mayor is Renu Dahal. Renu would run for mayor, according to RC Adhikari, coordinator of the Maoist headquarters in Chitwan. Both are voting from Santipur Police School. He stated that the timing has yet to be determined.
