Kathmandu, May 9
The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal has stated that domestic flights will remain closed on May 13 due to local elections.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the Association’s spokesperson Yograj Kandel said flights for humanitarian rescue, aid flights, and flights conducted at the instruction of the government will be operated in line with the Standard Related to Vehicular Movement Management, 2022.
Alongside air transport, all public transport will be closed on May 13. However, international
flights will be regular. The Election Commission has written to the government to make
arrangements for the operation of vehicles for the convenience of passengers going abroad on this day.
