The stock market index Nepse index increased by double digits on Sunday, the first day of the week. The Nepse index climbed by 18.18 points to 2256.57.
The market, which has been declining for the past few weeks, was also down for the most of trading hours on Sunday. The market ended up increasing by double digits when it closed.
Despite the increase in the Nepse index, transaction volume has remained unchanged.
33,041,214 shares of 233 firms were purchased and sold during the day's 27,229 transactions, bringing the total transaction value to Rs. 1,32,64,21,672.
