The Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from CPN-UML mayoral candidate for
Kathmandu Metropolitan City Keshav Sthapit.
A letter has been sent to Sthapit asking him to clarify the question within 24 hours.
The EC has maintained that he violated the EC’s code of conduct by making controversial
statements in various places, including a college in Kathmandu.

Sthapit is also the former mayor of the KMC. He has given his candidature for the post of mayor of KMC from the UML again.
