Kathmandu, May 2
Dhiraj Pratap Singh, the newly-appointed Chief of Nepal Police, and Raju Aryal, the newly-
appointed Chief of the Armed Police Force, have been conferred the insignia of the Inspector General of their respective police organizations.
Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey conferred them with the insignia at an investiture
ceremony organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday morning.
After the incumbent chiefs of both organizations retired after 30-years of service with the
police organizations, a cabinet meeting on May 1 decided to promote Singh to Nepal Police
Chief and Aryal to APF Chief.
After 30 years of service, IGP Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and APF Inspector General Pushpa Ram KC retired.
