CIAA files complaint against six including a forest officer

Kathmandu, April 26

On the charge of embezzling money without constructing a footpath from Jawaldhara to Kachh in Mugu’s Soru Rural Municipality, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a case against six people, including a forest officer and engineers.

According to CIAA sources, the commission has filed corruption cases against Bharat Bahadur Budha Thapa, an officer of Division Forest Office, Mugu, Gorsingh Badhuwal, sub-engineer, Rabindra Shahi, assistant sub-engineer, Bastola Shahi, chairman of Footpath Construction Consumers Committee, Bisu Nepali secretary and Hari Bahadur Shahi treasurer of the consumer’s committee.

CIAA noticed misappropriation and fraud in the Footpath construction while probing the
embezzlement case filed against the accused.
