Kathmandu, April 27
The Election Commission (EC) is examining nomination papers and looking into the complaints lodged against the candidates for the local level elections today and tomorrow.
The commission, which registered nominations on Sunday and Monday, had made
arrangements to file a complaint against the candidate on Tuesday.
The Commission has said that after thoroughly examining the nomination papers and
complaints, it will publish the candidate’s name list at 6 pm on Thursday.
Similarly, the candidates willing to withdraw their candidacies can do so till 5 pm Friday,
according to the schedule. After 5 pm on the same day, the Commission will publish the final candidate list.
On Saturday, the Commission will provide election symbols to the candidates.
