Tomorrow, a delegation led by Labor Minister Shrestha will go to Malaysia

Kathmandu, April 26

On Wednesday, a delegation led by Labor, Employment, and Social Security Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha will go to Malaysia. Minister Shrestha will go to Malaysia at the invitation of Malaysian Human Resources Minister Sarvanan Murugan for a four-day visit.

Acting Malaysian Ambassador Mohammad Fazal had a courtesy visit with Labor Minister
Shrestha before leaving for Malaysia. The two addressed matters of mutual interest and
collaboration during their meeting today at the Singha Durbar-based Ministry.

Minister Shrestha will meet with his Malaysian counterpart Murugan during the visit, while
Secretary Aryal will meet with the Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Director-General of the Social Security Organization. During the visit, the agenda for the Nepal-Malaysia Joint Committee meeting, which will be conducted in Nepal, will also be finalized.

Minister Shrestha will meet with his counterpart to discuss the proper execution of a labor
agreement clause that states that employers are responsible for all expenditures paid in the selection process of Nepali employees moving to Malaysia for foreign employment.

There will be a program to discuss with the Nepali community in Malaysia during the visit. Nepali laborers travel to Malaysia in large numbers.
