Nepal Airlines, the national flag carrier, has decided to start flights three times a week from
Kathmandu to Narita, Japan, from May 1. Currently, two flights a week are conducted to Narita. The flights have been scheduled for every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.
Issuing a statement on Monday, NAC said that, as per the Japanese government regulations, only 140 passengers can be carried on Sunday and Tuesday flights and only 120 passengers on Friday flights.
It added that passengers’ demand was growing in the wake of the subsided state of COVID-19.
The airfare of the Kathmandu-Narita sector for business class is Rs 152,000 and for economy class, the fare has been set at Rs 119,700.
CAAN made it clear that if anyone is found selling tickets for more than the fixed airfare, they will be punished.
