Kathmandu, April 25
Chiribabu Maharjan, the mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, would be appointed by the Nepali Congress.
Lalitpur’s current mayor is Maharjan. On Monday morning, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba validated Maharjan’s ticket.
Prem Krishna Maharjan and Chandra Maharjan were also mentioned as possible mayoral
candidates with Maharjan.
