Kathmandu, April 24
Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rajendra Lingden has hoped that the party will come as an alternative political force through the upcoming local elections.
People were seeking an alternative to the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) and they will now establish the RPP as a solid alternative force through the polls, said Lingden while addressing an election rally organized on Saturday.
“The days when some people would take advantage by blaming the monarchy and Panchayat have gone. The RPP is a party which will safeguard the country and religion,” he asserted.
“People will defeat those who have taken politics as a business,” he said while pointing at the parties in the incumbent government and the main opposition UML.
On the occasion, leader Lingden announced Ramesh Dahal and Sabina Bajgain as the RPP’s
candidates for mayor and deputy mayor for Mechinagar Municipality for the local level
election.
