Kathmandu, April 18
A meeting of the ruling five-party alliance is underway to take a final call on the candidates for the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities.
According to Surya Kiran, Press Coordinator of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Prachanda, the meeting of the mechanism with the top leaders, which was scheduled to be held at 9 o’clock, started at 10:15 am.
The ruling alliance’s today’s meeting is expected to finalize the candidates for the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities from the center itself. There are six metropolitan cities and 11 metropolitan cities across the country.
The local elections are being held on May 13.
