Today will be a virtual meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden.
The two presidents will discuss current developments in South Asia as well as global events of mutual interest. The two presidents might discuss the corona pandemic, climate change, the global economy, and democratic security.
Biden will also bring up the Russia-Ukraine conflict during his meeting with Modi, according to the White House. The White House has stated that it will meet with Modi to discuss the battle with Russia.
Furthermore, the war’s influence on world food supply will be discussed.
The US has already expressed its displeasure with India’s attitude toward Russia and Ukraine. The US wants India to keep its ties with Russia to a minimum. India continues to trade oil with Russia, a move that has enraged the US. If India continues to do so, the US has warned that it would pay the price.
Meanwhile, the United States has promised India armaments. Russia must also lessen its reliance on armaments, according to the agreement.
