Nanda Kishore Pun, Vice President, has urged businessmen to be active.
Vice President Pun, speaking at the National Federation of Nepalese Entrepreneurs’ General Convention on Tuesday, recommended doing business that would promote domestic manufacturing rather than importing from abroad.
He highlighted the need of engaging in productive business, claiming that the economy has
been harmed by low exports and excessive imports.
He stated that he had heard that some investors were attempting to withdraw their funds and advised them to invest in Nepal instead.
”I’d want to make a request to the Nepalese businessmen. ”Don’t even consider withdrawing capital,” he warned. ”The government should also pay attention and establish a conducive environment for foreign investment in Nepal.” He believes that the government should collaborate with the private sector to create a self-sufficient economy.
