Kathmandu, April 3
A hearing on the writ petition filed by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli against 14 lawmakers including CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is currently underway at the Supreme Court.
The hearing on the writ petition is being conducted by the joint bench of SC justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Nahakul Subedi.
Oli had already filed a petition with the Supreme Court, seeking the removal of 14 lawmakers from the House of Representatives and the provincial legislature and the invalidation of thenewly formed CPN (Unified Socialist).
Another petition was filed against Speaker Sapkota, accusing him of ignoring the termination of the lawmakers against whom the CPN-UML had taken action.
