Kathmandu, April 1 / More than a dozen US troops have secretly landed at Tribhuvan International Airport today.
The US Army has come to Nepal to participate in the Balance Nail 22-5520 jointly conducted with the Nepal Army. The team includes 22 soldiers from various US military registrations.
A US Army team has arrived in Nepal to participate in the training, along with weapons, ammunition, reconciliation equipment, and other necessary supplies.
According to sources in the Ministry of Defense, the training between the Nepal Army and the US Army has already started on March 30.
However, the location of the training has been kept secret. The Nepal Army has not made it public. According to Maoist leader Dev Gurung, the US Air Force arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport at 6:10 pm today.
Maoist leader Dev Gurung wrote a post on Facebook, “US Army in Nepal! A total of 28 US troops, including 15 US Army uniforms and weapons and 13 crew members, landed in Nepal from the US Air Force, Flight No. PAVER 71 at the International Airport at 6:10 pm today. For the past two decades, has the US military intervened in Nepal as it did in Afghanistan? Let the government clarify this immediately”.
