Within seven days, the Ministry of Finance has directed that the key proposals for participation in the next Fiscal Year 2079/80 budget be submitted.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance met with the secretaries and joint secretaries of all ministries, as well as the Nepal Army. During the meeting, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma requested that action plans be submitted within seven days at the federal, state, and municipal levels.
He claims that the federal budget has a tendency to incorporate fragmented ideas that can be established at the state and local levels rather than work.
”Give me an action plan within seven days based on the ministry’s own work ethic on what can be done to improve resource utilization and what sort of budget policy can be established in the federal spirit,” he added.
