Kathmandu, March 28
During a program today at the Pokhara City Hall, President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the first national conference of the judicial committees of local governments. The inauguration took place digitally.
Gandaki Province Chief Prithviman Gurung, Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel,
Province Government ministers, and Province Assembly members are among those attending the inaugural session.
Chiefs and members of the judicial committees of all 753 local governments in the country are participating in the conference hosted by the Pokhara Metropolis Judicial Committee.
According to Manjudevi Gurung, Deputy Mayor of Pokhara Metropolis and coordinator of the
local judicial committee, the day-long program will discuss the judicial committees’ difficulties, challenges, and achievements before issuing the Pokhara Declaration.
