Deuba criticized Rawal for double standards over MCC

Kathmandu, March 14

Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Prime Minister, has criticized Bhim Rawal, the leader of the CPN-UML, for opposing the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

PM Deuba reminded UML leaders at a program in Nuwakot on Monday that the MCC Compact was tabled in parliament when KP Oli was Prime Minister.

Expressing dissatisfaction with UML lawmaker Rawal, Prime Minister Deuba said that those
who were pushing for MCC’s passage while in power have no meaning to protest now.

“I’m not understanding why Bhim Rawal is protesting the MCC?” PM Deuba asked, saying that Rawal was the defense minister at the time.
