Nepali team leaves for India for SAFF championship

Kathmandu, March 13

The Nepali women’s football team will compete in the SAAF U-18 (Under 18) Women’s Championship in India, which has left today to participate. The competition will be placed in Jamshedpur, India, from March 15 to March 25. Nepal and Bangladesh will compete.

On March 15, Nepal and India will play the first match of the double round-robin competition.

Similarly, Nepal will meet Bangladesh in its second match on March 18. On March 21, Nepal will face India again, followed by Bangladesh on March 23. The tournament will be won by the squad that comes in the first place.

Priti Rai (captain), Sabitri Kishan, Leela Joshi, Pooja Thapa, Sabina Chaudhary, Manju Kumari Khadka, Pratikshya Chaudhary, Kumari Tamang, Priya Basnet, Divya Ismali Magar, Deepa Shahi, and Hima Rawat make up the Nepali women’s squad. Saraswati Hamal, Sunkala Rai, Anjali Machhamasi, Sarah Bajracharya, Jennifer Rana, Sharishma Thapa, Sadipa Bholan, Kushum Khatiwada, Amisha Karki, Manmaya Damai, and Garima Rai are among the team’s other members.
