The government is forming a special task group to address the situation of the residents of Banchare Danda in Nuwakot, Kathmandu’s waste disposal site.

According to government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, it was decided to organize the force to operate at a faster speed to tackle the citizens’ issues.

Local residents will be included in the task team. ”It was agreed to organize a high-level committee made up of local people’s representatives to monitor the people’s complaints,” government spokesperson Karki said.

He stated that the administration is dedicated to resolving the local issues at the dump. He stated that the administration is dedicated to taking all necessary actions to reduce the area’s rubbish disposal’s environmental effect.

On Thursday, the Council of Ministers resolved to conduct scientific management of the garbage disposal site. The government has decided to issue directives to all responsible authorities in order to adequately assess and manage the environmental effect.
