Kathmandu, March 11
For the second time in a week, broiler chicken producers have raised the price of chicken meat.
The price of live broiler chicken has risen again since Friday, after increasing by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 290 per kg on Monday.
The cold store price of live broiler chicks has reached Rs 300 per kilogram from Friday,
according to the Nepal National Poultry Sales Entrepreneurs Association. ”On Monday, it increased from Rs 280 to Rs 290. It has now risen from Rs 290 to Rs 300. In the market, there is a scarcity of chickens ”Dev Kumar Giri, the association’s secretary, agreed.
The price of cooked meat has risen in tandem with the price of chicken in the cold shop.
According to the organization, the price of ready-made broiler chicken meat in the Kathmandu Valley has risen to Rs 420.
According to Secretary Giri, owing to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the import of
raw materials for the production of chicken grains has been halted, and the raw materials that have been received have become extremely expensive. ”When grains got more expensive, farmers left the industry. After the market’s output of chickens reduced, prices increased ”Secretary Giri said.
