Kathmandu, March 11
While receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a fire at the local Kopche bazaar in
Phungling, Taplejung district, an elderly woman died.
Chulimaya Limbu, 67, of Maiwakhola Rural Municipality, who now is living in Shiva Maden’s
rented house in Phungling, died at the District Hospital.
According to Chief District Officer Mahesh Kumar Pokharel, the fire completely Maden’s house and partially damaged the house of local Rabindra Limbu.
The fire, which started at 8:00 am, was put out with the help of firefighters and security
personnel, according to CDO Pokharel.
