To travel the Gulf nations on a visit visa, you must now earn at least Rs 500,000. According to the government, Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey took the decision based on the report of a task group established to modify the criteria and processes for visit visas.

For a travel visa, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand stated a committee led by Phanindra Mani Pokharel, the chairman of the ministry’s peace and security section, one had to prove income of Rs 1 million to get the visa. However, following criticism that the income of Rs 1 million was unworkable, the government has chosen to publish a taxable income of Rs 500,000.

According to a ministry official, the secretary-level has agreed to adopt this clause only if the procedure is ready and implemented. The requirement for obtaining a visit visa is to provide proof of having lived abroad for more than two years. It is also believed that in the case of Gulf countries, one should have visited beyond the Gulf at least twice.

It is believed that in order to obtain a visit visa, one must have at least a class 12 education or equivalent technical knowledge abilities. According to the revised requirements, a person who visits a member of the same family and travels on the invitation and sponsorship of a relative of the same family must be the same family’s parents, in-laws, children, husband, and wife.

It is suggested that customers who take the tour package offered by the travel agency should make a self-declared commitment to return once the tour program has ended. It further states that in the case of Gulf nations and Malaysia, prior authorization from the Immigration Department is necessary.

The criteria stated that ”official representatives of organizations linked with the worldwide network shall be able to engage in industrial and economic operations.” ”Manpower entrepreneurs will also be permitted to promote international employment businesses on the market.”

There should be an official invitation or sponsorship letter from the organizers in the case of athletes and artists touring Gulf nations, Malaysia, Africa, and other problematic locations. In addition, the invitation and sponsorship paperwork from the organizer should be checked on the website / online.

”The recommending body will be responsible for suggesting such group or individual trips,” or ”it should be certified and approved by the Nepali mission in the nation concerned.”
