A ship transporting thousands of expensive cars sank off the coast of Portugal’s Azores in the Andhra Ocean. About two weeks ago, the ship caught fire.

Around 4,000 expensive cars, including Porsche and Bentley, were on board the ship. The ship was sailing from a German port to the United States. After a fire broke out on February 16, all crew members and crew were saved.

There were no complaints of oil leakage from the ship, though. The gasoline tank, however, was damaged, according to Fayal Islands chief Joao Menzies Cabezas. In the Andhra Ocean, the ship sank roughly 3,500 meters below sea level. According to the Portuguese navy, no one was hurt and all 22 crew members were rescued.

The Volkswagen automobile he delivered was insured, according to the manufacturer. According to Reuters, the overall worth is estimated to be around 156 million dollars. Bentley claimed there were 189 cars on board the sinking ship, while Porsche claimed there were 1,100.
