The stolen idols and tundals from the United States have been returned to Nepal at various
occasions. The tundal and another piece of wood from the Rubin Museum in New York, as well as the Buddha statue from the Tibet Gallery in New York, have been transferred to Nepal.

On Wednesday, the Department of Archeology will host a news conference to discuss the
statue that was transported to Kathmandu on Monday.

A statue of Buddha imported from the United States, a pylon taken from Yampi Mahabihar
Lalitpur, and a Gandharva-shaped woodwork under a window have all been returned to Nepal, according to Archaeological Department Information Officer Subhadra Bhattarai.

On Wednesday, officials from the Rubin Museum will give over the treasure to Nepal’s
archaeological department.

The Rubin Museum in New York discovered the flying nymph (Gandharva) with the missing
garland from Keshchandra Mahabihar in Itumbahal and the pylon over the main door missing from Yampi Bihar in Patan.
